Slowly and steadily, progress is being made. The church is looking different now! After a workday or two...or three...the siding is going up! Bro. White got a headstart beginning of August and then on August 14th, we had a big workday and thanks to many people...(Bro. Jack Benjamin came from South Dakota, his son, Nathan, Pastor Huffman, Bro. White, Bro. Alex & son Ricardo, friend Oscar, Bro. Doug, Bro. Ben, Bro. Wilkins, & Bro. Huffman, Sr.), they helped get one end about finished! This past week, Bro. White, Pastor Huffman, Bro. Doug Bates, and Bro. Ben Evans worked til the storms rolled in late one evening. They decided to quit when the rain arrived...that scaffolding can get pretty slippery. : / They got some more done another evening, working so late, they had to use flashlights! Today, Sept. 4, Bro. Doug (& Sis. Shelley...lol), got an early start and Pastor joined them after lunch. Together, they almost finished the front! So...slowly and surely....it is looking good! THANKS EVERYONE! (Also, a special thanks to the ladies who prepared food and supplied drinks on 8-14 for everyone...everyone has a part!)

Progress is steadily being made. The electricians were here again this past week. Turns out, there are four workers, counting the master electrician. These people have all donated their time. It is a great blessing to our church.
Bro. White and some of the men in our church have been working on framing the top floor. We now have the stairs in and no longer a gaping hole! I am adding a new slideshow of pics. It is exciting to actually "see" the rooms. Pastor's office and mine are now framed in as well as the bathrooms, nursery, utility closets, sunday school rooms, and KITCHEN! I am looking forward to the day when we can make dinners @ the church! Haha! : )
The electricians have said they will return the day after Easter for another week of work. They usually start about seven in the morning and work til seven or eight at night. I just feed them three meals a day and send them back to work. :)
Wishing you all a blessed Easter. Thanks for keeping us all in your prayers.

It has been quite a while since I got on here and updated! SORRY! Time flies....
December 21, 2009, we found a couple of days that weren't extremely freezing and were able to pour the concrete floor in the basement. The uncle of one of our church members was so kind to us and donated propane and propane heaters to use to help heat the floor AND the workers~ :)
My Dad, Bro. White, has been spending many hours working on framing the walls. Last week, we were fortunate to have Bro. Elvin Anthony and Bro. Justin Anthony from Bellevue, along with a guy in their church, Bro. Tim Locklear, come and help frame some walls. With the four of them working, they got quite a lot accomplished. Tomorrow, February 27, the church is having a work day and hope to get most of the rest of the basement framed!
We want to have the framing finished before Monday. Bro. Harold Park, a master electrician from Bro. Wallace's church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, has offered to come Monday and bring one or two men with him to help put in our electricity! He has volunteered to donate his labor for a couple of weeks. We are so blessed! God is looking out for us! We plan to take care of them while they are here and feed them some good meals!!! : ) We are grateful to the Wallace's for being so gracious to let him come for so long!
Our plan now is to try to complete the basement to go ahead and use it for church while we continue to finish the main level. Once we get the basement finished, we will have a kitchen for dinners, a fellowship hall for church services, and five sunday school rooms, as well as bathrooms. We are excited for what God is doing!!!

Update
Well, it has been a while since I've blogged on here. Between camp, the rain, (and did I mention the rain?), the trench was dug for the water line. It was very interesting watching the guys tap into the main city water line without creating a flood in the hole. They were also working in very close proximity to a fiber optic cable, which basically contains massive amounts of data for the city, which if it was accidentally cut into or punctured could cost a minimum of $10,000 per minute to fix, or so they said. So, long story short, we made sure that we didn't hire any bulls for that china closet! Anyway...the trench has been dug, the water line laid and the sewer lines have been put in. As of today, they (Bro. Ben and Bro. White) have also repaired the sidewalk that we had to cut into to get to the water line. We've had so much help with this project so far. We appreciate Bro. Dustin and Bro. Adam loaning their time (which is always valuable) and retaining the use of their employer's backhoe to dig the trenches and move dirt for us. The church was only out the cost of the gas for it and it was a huge blessing to be able to not have to hire all that done! Thanks to Bro. White for overseeing this project, and all those who have spent time over here as well. Pastor Huffman, Bro. Huffman, Sr., Bro. Sam, Bro. Gabriel, Bro. Jordan, Bro. Doug, Bro. Fitzgerald, Bro. Wilkins, Bro. Adam, Bro. Dustin, Bro. Ben, and the kiddos...Rion, Dylan, Sidney, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Kassidy & Jared (smile), although sometimes we might could do without the little ones helping! : ) The next step is to finish roughing the plumbing, then pouring the basement floor. That will hopefully happen soon. We are working estimates for the framing part as well. Until next time, keep us in your prayers!
